Dr. Arnold Breitbart graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and obtained his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at NYU Medical Center, and went on to complete fellowships in craniofacial surgery at NYU Medical Center, and microsurgery and breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
At the forefront of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Breitbart has published more than 40 articles and presented at more than 50 national and international plastic surgery conferences. Outside of his Manhattan and Long Island cosmetic surgery practices, Dr. Arnold Breitbart has academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and at Weill Cornell University Medical College. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Breitbart has a keen interest in art and the artistry of cosmetic surgery. He studied art history while at Princeton, and has taken drawing classes at the Art Students League and School of Visual Arts in New York.
Despite a busy professional life, Dr. Breitbart has also devoted himself to numerous charitable causes. He is an accomplished marathon runner and has raised money running marathons for causes ranging from the American Diabetes Association to Hurricane Katrina relief and the treatment of burn victims. He has also donated his services to charitable organizations for performing reconstructive surgery on needy children.
